The NYPD and Hunter Public Safety Department are holding two seminars on rape prevention.

Why you should attend:

  • Every 2 minutes, someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted.
  • 272,350 sexual assaults were committed in 2006 alone.
  • 1 out of every 6 American women has been raped.
  • 17.7 million American women are the victims of rape or attempted rape.
  • 15% of rape or sexual assault victims are under 12.
  • 80% are under 30.
  • 93% of juvenile sexual assault victims know their attacker.

What you’ll learn:

  • What to do if you are raped – whom to call, where to go.
  • How to enter counseling.
  • What date rape is.
  • What male rape is.
